Socialico, a Singapore-based gamification company, announced today that it is rebranding itself as Gametize. It will soon officially launch the mobile app version of its flagship social discovery product GameMaki.

The app is already available for download on the iTunes App Store.

The company hopes that the new branding will reflect their focus and core competency on gamification across verticals.

“Over the past two years, we have created products and campaigns for ourselves and clients using game design techniques in non-gaming environments. We are now convinced that the best experiences are complemented through play”, said Keith Ng, CEO and Co-founder of Gametize.

“Through this new name, we aim to emphasize our team’s rich experience and knowledge in gamification as a strategy to enhance engagement and experiences.”

The company will also launch a business platform in GameMaki for social media marketers to create gamified challenge-based campaigns.

GameMaki, allows users to start and claim real-world challenges for virtual and tangible rewards. They can, for instance, create challenges egging friends to post photos of a healthy meal they had.
