The Luxe Nomad, a luxury travel site, has agreed to an investment deal of undisclosed terms with Tigris Capital and government agency SPRING Singapore during Echelon 2012, reported e27.

Founded by former Malaysian model Stephanie Chai, The Luxe Nomad curates luxury hotels and resorts and offers special prices at up to 70 percent discount to its members, free-of-charge.

“A start-up begins with an idea, is built by a team but truly grows from funding. We’re very excited to be working with Tigris Capital and SPRING as we share the same vision of changing the travel industry in Asia,” said Stephanie.

The Singapore-based startup will launch a travel flash sales component in the coming months.

Tigris Capital is also an investor in PropertyGuru, Tickled Media, and Game Ventures.

Organized by tech blog e27 for the third year running, Echelon 2012 is a key startup launchpad in Asia with over 1,100 delegates in attendance and 50 startups exhibiting in the Marketplace. Check out SGE’s coverage of the event.
