Payroll Hero opens Canadian office; picked as Judges’ Choice at Seattle’s Startup Riot

Payroll Hero, a Philippines-based startup that has developed a payroll management app, announced in a blog post that it will be opening an engineering office in Whistler, British Columbia.

The location was picked for its beauty, reasonable cost of living, lifestyle, and proximity to Vancouver and Vancouver’s international airport. The team hopes to hire top engineering talent to fill up their new office.

The startup has also emerged as the “Judges’ Choice” for the top 5 participants at Startup Riot, a startup event in Seattle, Washington. Each team was given 3 minutes to pitch and 3 minutes to answer questions, and all 30 of them had to vie for the limited attention of the panel.
