iAxil presents Kelvin Ong of FocusTech Ventures – 29 Aug

iAxil‘s next talk brings audiences their strategic partner: Mr Kelvin Ong, Executive Director of FocusTech Ventures (FTV), a startup accelerator led by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. The same team founded the Seksun Group, previously Main-Board listed with over 20 companies and 3000 employees across Asia & US. Seksun Group was sold to Citi Venture Capital International for $295 million.

Kelvin will share on the elements that will ignite investors’ interest through insights as an entrepreneur and investor. Their portfolio and experience range from life sciences, precision engineering, software to wearable technologies. These include the merger with ZF Array (EMS), joint ventures with BioSensors International (market cap of $2.14 billion) for high end medical devices and Henan Jinque for power meters respectively. Other notable investments include ShareInvestor.com (acquired by SPH for $12 million) and Alantac Technology (IPO).

FTV seeks partnership with passionate entrepreneurs with innovative consumer-focused, disruptive technologies that are market-changing, regardless if it is web, mobile, cloud-based, software and hardware products. These can be targeting the education, healthcare, traditional industries and urban solutions.
