My Wishes for Singapore

1) The government to give more attention to start ups of a different nature ( e.g F&B or brick-mortar shops) rather than just high-tech start ups

2) There will be more choice and flexibility in the educational system which allows the potential entrepreneur to have a chance to explore his path in life.

3) Singaporeans to be more open-minded and not closed-minded about the inconsequential nitty-gritty when working overseas. I have worked with Singaporeans in China who have been really " shi2 ban3" (dead rigid) and seem to be nothing but "water-carriers" with little opinion other than just doing things "by the book". Of course, doing too many things by the book may be detrimental in another country, especially in China, where the rules are always changing.

4) For another big-name entrepreneur to emerge from our tiny island state. May Singapore continue to make its mark on the world!

My wish list for singapore :
1) We be more gracious and learn that life is not just about narrow succeess and money.

2) We explore beyond the business and money and have our own thinkers and philosophers, musicians and artists.

3) that we all are able to look back at the end of our lives and say that it was one hell of a ride and that we have our loved ones around us to share it.
