Not only GetJar, there are other stores such as Handmark and Handango which sells games and software for Blackberries, Nokia phones, Android and other platforms except for iPhone. That is 1 difference between iPhone development and other mobile platforms. If you think your app sells better on Nokia rather than on Ovi, you can do so. But you can't do that with an iPhone app.

Btw, GetJar and Sony Ericsson have partnered up where Sony Ericsson is using GetJar's platform for their PlayNow arena platform.

A few points to add. For Windows Mobile, $99 USD gets you 5 submission credits. A failed submission counts as a valid submission, so if you have 3 failed submissions, then means that you are down to 2 credits. This contrasts different with the iPhone developer network where you have no limit on the number of failed rejections and submissions. That also means you can flood the store with fart apps if you want to. And for Blackberry development, you can use J2ME for app development, so that means you can reuse the same code for Nokia devices and you just need to change screen sizes plus remove any platform specific APIs. So with 1 single language, you can enter 2 different platforms
