If you want to hear from fellow (young) Singaporeans in the heart of the high-tech capital of the world: Silicon Valley – look no further than to navigate to…

RainMakers, the blog of a group of young aspiring entrepreneurs on the NUS Overseas College programme based in Silicon Valley. (One of our editors, Gwen, actually started this half a year ago as just a short newsletter, but it has since grown).

These young punks make up the NUS Entrepreneurs’ Association and organize seminars and networking events every few months. This blog is part of their efforts to share their experiences with other Singaporeans as well as to people in the Valley.

These students immerse themselves in the whole Silicon Valley culture by interning in a startup full-time and taking part-time courses in Stanford University while there. They also organize trips to visit other young startups like Meetro as well as successful companies like Google and Apple. Not to mention the countless networking seminars everyday like those organized by Entrepreneur27 (the original chapter started by Noah Kagan) and others.

The students contribute a lot, learnt a lot, and now want to share this knowledge too. Read on!
