Things I do learn in life are these:

1) If thing are too good to be true, it probably is.
Often we are “tempted” by what we hear and the rewards that come along with it in the future due to effective marketing. We did not check the integrity of the company or the person responsible especially the money of transaction is large. The “potential” rewards far outweighs the check and “rational, logical” decision needed.

2) Never trade word for money.
Most marketer will promise things that could not be honoured especially if they are not the one who doing the work. Many will further “outsource” to many layer of “entities” until the cost overblown. This is especially so in today’s society where marketer demand some upstart cost from the client.

Good article. Story from the reverse angle. Rather than being screwed by angel investors and VCs, it is the investors getting sabo by the entreprenuer.
