CodeRage 2012 to Hackers: “Singapore startups are cool too”
Code Rage is an attempt to raise the profile of startups as potential employers.
Three startups: Hagglr, Spawt and Ubersnap are co-organizing this hackathon to reach out to the “epic hackers” out there. Said hackers should know that Singapore has an exciting bunch of companies coming up and all the cool problems are not being tackled only in the valley.
Worldwide in the internet startup sphere, technical talent is always lacking as great talent may find themselves attracted to bigger companies or companies that have the ability to pay higher salaries. (It is a sad fact of life that some money is needed to survive.)
There will be a programming challenge along with some prizes, including possible internships with the startups. But CodeRage is not just a hackathon…come on down to network with other startups and meet hackers at the networking party after.
Hackathons is increasingly the way to recruit programming talent huh.
