MyHarapan’s Youth Social Business Summit 2012 to foster and champion social enterprise among youths

The Youth Social Business Summit 2012 (YSBS) is the first ever international event that aims to encourage social business among youths, foster discussion and collaboration between existing industry experts and stakeholders, as well as generate ideas and solutions for the future. Organized by myHarapan, a Youth Trust Foundation dedicated towards empowering young Malaysians by supporting youth projects and initiatives, the event will gather youth delegates, experts from private sectors, civil society, governments and academia for 3 days of workshops, panel sessions and meetings.

Attendees can expect to hear speakers such as Raya Papp, Director of Corporate Finance, Impact Investment Exchange Asia, Juergen Hammer, Chief Investment Officer, Grameen Credit Agricole Microfinance Foundation, Christian Vanizette, Co-founder, MakeSense, Ellynita Hazlina Yamin, Director, Social Enterprise Alliance Malaysia and other industry experts share their opinions and support for social enterprise.

Key highlights include networking with the presenters and facilitators, a Fund Galore providing information on funding sources, a focused discussion panel, and an award ceremony recognizing the best youth-led organisations, projects, and movements in Malaysia.
