Startup Weekend Women’s Edition now comes to Singapore this November

Having run workshops in 320+ cities across 5 continents, Startup Weekend is a well-known event connecting fellow entrepreneurs. Now, a women’s edition has been formed, and after a recently successful event in London, it is venturing into Asia Pacific with its first stop in Singapore.

Co-organized by The Athena Network and TheNextWomen.com, Startup Weekend Women’s Edition will take place over the weekend of November 23rd, 24th, and 25th. This event will follow the same basic model employed by all Startup Weekend events: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and then it’s a 54 hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekends culminate with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback.
