Unreasonable@Sea Conference to dock in Singapore this February
Unreasonable at Sea is a radical experiment in global entrepreneurship, design-thinking, and education, designed to seek out effective technological solutions to the greatest challenges of our time. It borrows the analogy of a ship harboring passengers towards a common destination to define itself as a mentor-driven accelerator for tech-entrepreneurs who desire to take their ventures into new international markets to work on intractable social and environmental challenges.
Coached by some of the world’s greatest mentors, Unreasonable at Sea aims to set sail over more than 25,000 nautical miles spanning 13 countries over the course of 100 days. It has partnered with Stanford d.school, Google, MIT Media Labs, Singularity University, TED Fellows, and numerous others to make this a most exhilarating and valuable experience. And one of its stops is Singapore.
Co-created by IdeasWorthDoing, INSEAD and TEDxSingapore, its premier Conference event in Singapore will see the entrepreneurial founders of the 11 Unreasonable@Sea companies and their global mentors gather together with experts and entrepreneurs from social, high-technology, venture, philanthropic, industry and public sectors in Singapore. Such unparalleled communities will serve as hives of activity as stories of experience and insights are passed around, with the aim of driving effective solutions to tackle global social and environmental challenges. Participants can expect a full program consisting of keynotes, talks conducted by the faculty of INSEAD, the founder of Stanford design school, and valuable personal conversations with experienced mentors and companies.
Do note that this conference is by-invitation only: RSVP here if interested.
Also, the conference’s co-organizer, Ideas Worth Doing, is on the search for the 11 most Unreasonable companies/start-ups in Singapore who are technology-centric with audacious goals of solving big global social and environmental challenges. If you find your company a good fit, do find out more and apply here.
