For most start-ups and entrepreneurs, Intellectual Property may seem applicable only to high-tech products, but this is the reason why some products or services fail to gain a larger market share. This oft-neglected asset is the reason customers place a high value on a product or service – no matter what business you are in, what product you make or what service you provide. Every company has valuable intangible assets and potential Intellectual Property which encompasses the production of the products to the processes and innovations.

There are various forms of Intellectual Property ranging from patents, trade marks, registered designs, copyright, layout-designs of integrated circuits, geographical indications, trade secrets and confidential information and plant variety. Through this talk, you will be able to know the difference between the different types of IP and which you should apply for. You will also learn which territorial countries your IP can be go and how you can apply for this IP from Singapore and overseas. This talk will give you the full knowledge of how you can register for your IP, the processes and cost involved and even teach you the methods to save on IP cost. Coming out of this talk, we hope you will be enlightened with which IP to choose and the best ways to apply for it. All this for a meagre cost of $10 for a 2-hour talk.
