Event: i.Jamming by MDA

The Media Development Authority (MDA) is pleased to invite you to attend the inaugural i.Jamming event on 25 May 2007. In addition, demos or ideas by young startups will also be showcased at the event. Individuals who are keen to work with these startups are also encouraged to submit their ideas at the event itself. If you are interested to attend this event, please read on for more details.

To be held in the tradition of ‘unconference’ where participants are free to move around in the different zones, the event aims to match-make players from the Interactive Digital Media (IDM) industry, academic and individuals of startup community to encourage the creation of micro projects. There will be several elevator pitches by technology partners such as HP and I2R who are keen to work with individuals to develop applications on top of their platform. Individuals who are interested are encourage to prepare their ideas in advance so that the ideas can be submitted during the event. Ideas which are innovative and meet the criteria of MDA will then be funded through our new Microfunding scheme, which will be formally announced at this same date. Appointed mentors will be on hand to provide business advice to the startups/individuals as well.

In addition, demos or ideas by young startups will also be showcased at the event. Individuals who are keen to work with these startups are also encouraged to submit their ideas at the event itself.

Finally, there will also be a short presentation on a virtual platform, called i.JAM platform, where similar match making will take place. James Seng of tomorrow.sg will be making the presentation.

Facilitators will be on hand to facilitate the match-making session.
