Challenged in Cloud Billing
The real challenges in cloud billing are: Ownership: Who owns the business model – the operator? The application vendor? Both? Disparate objectives: There are multiple relationships to manage, spanning operators, application vendors, end users, resellers, advertisers; and a combination. Unknown unknowns: As new business models emerge rapidly, the future will present those we haven’t even conceptualised yet. Accountability: A growing need for the tighter management of service entitlement.
About the Speaker
Rob Dracup joined MetraTech in 2007 from Comverse Technologies, where he was a sales account director, looking after large Tier 1 Accounts such as BT and O2 (Telefonica). Rob has worked in the telecommunications for over 25 years, for Alcatel, Lucent, Unisys Comverse and has over 10 years experience of billing and customer care. He has a strong track record of leading sales and account management of complex IT and telecommunications solutions to most major UK based operators, including BT, Orange, Vodafone, NTL and O2. He has worked in partnership with Accenture, IBM, Logica, CapGemini, Oracle, TechMahindra and Sun.
