The Singapore-MIT GAMBIT Game Lab is a collaboration between the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the government of Singapore created to explore new directions for the development of games as a medium. Now soliciting applications for interns, GAMBIT’s Summer Program is a nine week, full time, intensive game development experience. Students from Singapore join students from MIT and other New England colleges to create video games at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This time, the program will be from June 7th – August 6th, 2010.
Eligibility
They are looking for accomplished student programmers, artists, game designers, sound designers, and producers.
Students currently attending the following universities and polytechnics in Singapore are eligible to apply:
Digipen Institute of Technology, Singapore (DIGIPEN)
LaSalle College of the Arts (LASALLE)
Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA)
Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP)
Nanyang Technological University (NTU)
National University of Singapore (NUS)
Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP)
Republic Polytechnic (RP)
SAE Institute Singpore (SAE)
Singapore Management University (SMU)
Singapore Polytechnic (SP)
Temasek Polytechnic (TP)
Current students at other Singaporean institutions are also eligible.
Application
GAMBIT has a three part application process: an initial application and resume submission, followed by a skills test, and finally an interview. There are different requirements for the various positions. Please visit their website for details.
Please take note that you can only apply during the submission window of January 1st, 2010 through January 14th, 2010.
