In this breakfast talk by the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, learn about the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Singapore.
The Talk
Almost a decade ago, the government of Singapore began to promote entrepreneurship by developing a comprehensive entrepreneurship ecosystem in Singapore.
Today it is well known that Singapore is the world’s easiest place to do business. However this is true not only for foreign MCNs setting foot in Asia, but also for smaller local or foreign companies, and entrepreneurs starting a business locally.
Financing the early stage of a venture, or simply transforming an idea into a real cash-earning and value-creating business, have always been and remain major issues for entrepreneurs. Then making a business financially sustainable on a long term basis is another critical challenge.
The present breakfast talk explores the current possibilities of Government Assistance and Funding Options for entrepreneurs and SMEs in Singapore.
After a summary of the main features of the entrepreneur ecosystem in Singapore; a review of the principal government agencies and other organizations; and an outline of their schemes and options; the participants will have the opportunity to address their questions to Prof. Wong Poh Kam, who will share with them its hands-on experience.
This Breakfast Talk is of interest to:
- Entrepreneurs, SMS or individuals intending to start a company in Singapore
- Any person interested in gaining a better understanding about how doing and developing business in Singapore, while leveraging on the schemes and options offered by the public and the private sectors (government agencies, incubators, business angels, etc.)
