i.MATCH BizMatch – Launch of Microsoft CFP Windows Phone 7

i.MATCH BizMatch is an innovative platform that facilitates collaboration opportunities between Media Content and Interactive and Digital Media (IDM) companies by introducing them to leading industry partners. Attendees will get the opportunity to find out more about the CFP and meet Microsoft executives. Interested developers/companies can also sign up for allocated ‘stage-time’ to do a verbal pitch to the panel. CFP applicants will receive technical guidance/training from Microsoft Innovation Centre, as well as both hardware and software resources to support the development process.


Panelists

John Fernandes, Director, Developer and Platform Evangelism
As the Director of the Developer and Platform Evangelism team John is responsible for working with developer, IT professional, academic, startup, and venture capital communities in Singapore. His team leverages software as an enabler to innovation, entrepreneurship, and the next generation, be it students, business models, or technology paradigms. John has been at Microsoft for 12 years. He most recently worked at Microsoft’s corporate headquarters in Redmond, Washington, where he led Microsoft’s Local Software Economy initiative, a global effort focusing on the development and growth of software economies through partnerships with government, academic, venture capital, independent software vendors and industry partners. He previously spent four years in the Silicon Valley launching the Microsoft Emerging Business Team. This organization partners with venture capital and startup communities creating strategic business and technology alliances. Fernandes’ international experience includes five years in the Middle East and Africa, where he ran Microsoft’s efforts in the early days of the Internet. Responsibilities included MSN, developer relations, and telecom, enterprise, and e-commerce sales over 20 countries.

Chris Chin, Director, Developer Marketing
Chris Chin has more than 20 years of working experience in the IT and software development field. He has been in IDA, HP, IBM and even ran a startup. He is currently the Developer Marketing Director in Mobile Communications Business and wants to convince all developers to build applications on Windows Phone.

Ed Quek, Strategy Lead
Ed has worked in the IT Industry for 15 years and has a wide range of experience in Software Development, Consulting and Marketing.

Tatiana Ameri, Marketing Program Manager, Southeast Asia
Tatiana has over 6 years of marketing and marketing communications experience across corporate, start up, government and institutional organizations. Led marketing planning and execution of B2B and consumer campaigns, internal and external communication programs, creative development, content production and localization, and events. Currently is supporting Microsoft Mobile Communications business managing Windows Phone Programs across SEA.

Chris Ismael, Developer Evangelist
Chris Ismael works in Microsoft as a Developer Evangelist. His work has taken him to various developer communities and speaking engagements both in Singapore and abroad, with topics ranging from Office development and file formats, LAMP/Interop technologies, Live Services, Windows 7 development, and now Windows Phone. He also runs the Microsoft startup program called BizSpark in Singapore. He has 6 years of experience in web development prior to working in Microsoft.

Alex Goh, Web Evangelist
Alex Goh is a Rich Internet Application advocate with extensive experiences on various RIA technologies such as Microsoft Silverlight, Adobe Flex and AJAX.
