Happy Valentine’s Day to all, from the SG Entrepreneurs team. In this special day, we present some interesting news from abroad and home. YouTube Hands Over User’s Info to Fox. From TechCrunch, “Three weeks after receiving a subpoena from the U.S. District Court in Northern California, YouTube has reportedly identified a user accused by 20th Century Fox Television of uploading episodes of the show 24 a week prior to their running on television. That user, named ECOTtotal, is also alleged to have uploaded 12 episodes of The Simpsons, some quite old. Apparently Google and YouTube were willing and able to identify the owner of the username ECOTtotal, acording to a report on InternetNews.com.”. This might serve as a precedent case and clearly as a warning to those who start to upload content with copyright infringements. Will it distill to politics in Singapore? We will leave that to our social-political bloggers from the Singapore blogosphere to follow up on this issue.

Finally, for all entrepreneurs based in Singapore, do take note that the Budget 2007 will be announced tomorrow (15 Feb 2007) in the Parliament. If you want to know how corporate taxes, GST and CPF adjustments affect your business, do tune in for news tomorrow. While that is happening, don’t forget to check out the E27 IV: You Are the Media event tomorrow.
