Apple sells 100 millionth iPod, deems experiment a success by Evan Blass (Engadget) provides a good genealogy picture of how the IPods have evolved to the present 5th generation.

Apple Unveils Higher Quality DRM-Free Music on the iTunes Store has been old news, but presents a major paradigm shift from the music companies. EMI Music has announced recently with Apple that they will make their entire catalogue of music available for purchase DRM-free (without digital rights manaagement). Are we going to see more music going DRM free?
