Battle Stations at Open Web Awards

Here’s who they are up against:

Top 5 for Best Facebook Game:

Battle Stations
Pet Society
Fish Wrangler
Mousehunt
Ghost Trappers

Top 5 for Best Facebook App:

Battle Stations
Pet Society
Fish Wrangler
Mousehunt
Farmville

Help vote for them!

Update 1 as of Dec 1st 2009, 1225am: Battle Stations seems to have disappeared off the nominee list for both categories. We’re trying to figure out what happened.

Update 2 as of Dec 1st 2009, 1231am: I just found out that Battle Stations had been banned earlier. Here’s Tyler Projects’ CEO, Leonard’s post in a thread on Facebook:

“It’s common sense that using an iframe causes people to vote when they
have no intention of doing so. While not explicitly stated in the rules, it
would make sense that running such a code is clearly “black hat” and is not tolerated.”

Here’s what an iFrame is >

“Iframes, or inline frames, allow you to load separate html files into an existing document. Iframes can be placed anywhere in the document flow.”

Right so basically that link we posted. You know they one we said you could click to vote for BS? That was causing you to vote unintentionally.
