joojoo-logoWe mentioned earlier this week that some exciting news regarding Fusion Garage and their product the JooJoo will be headed your way. The company just announced who the mysterious OEM partner is. One of the largest manufacturers of cell phones, mobile devices, netbook and notebook computers in Southeast Asia and distribution giant, CSL Group of Malaysia, will be the company taking care of the manufacturing cost of the JooJoo and at the same time, has also made a strategic investment in Fusion Garage.

CSL Group of Malaysia logoWith sales of nearly $300M USD, CSL takes care of the “upfront” manufacturing cost to get a foot in a very hot market and a revenue cut from each JooJoo sold globally.

However, the actual manufacturer is NOT CSL.

If you recall, we mentioned in our previous coverage that Fusion Garage has a Taiwanese manufacturer. This has not changed as this manufacturer will still be used. The difference is that now CSL will be footing the bill instead of Fusion Garage.

For news that would interest consumers, the JooJoo is expected to reach you by the end of February.
