SGE Experiments With Chalkboard’s Location-Based Web Ads
September 25, 2010 by Gwendolyn Regina T
Singapore location-based ad network, Chalkboard (formerly Chlkboard) today launched their web solution. Their app solution for native solutions launched a few months ago and about a month ago, they reached 1M impressions. We are happy today to be Chalkboard’s first publisher to put up their location-based web ads. You can see us serving their solution in our header (468×60 ad space).
As a typical ad network, Chalkboard generates revenues for app developers and web-publishers by placing geographic and content specific local ads on mobile phones and web sites.
In their words, online publishers like SGE will be able to “place local (geo-location) ads from over 90% of world’s browsers: Firefox 3, Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 and Safari, and the mobile solution helps app developers generate income on their applications for GPS-enabled mobile platforms: iOS (iPhone), Android, Windows Mobile 7, Blackberry“.
They are preparing for the day when all browsers (be it mobile or desktop) will have access to geo-location.
Disclaimer: Bernard from Chalkboard is a co-founder of SGE.
