Preparazzi wins Martell VSOP The Ultimate Start-up Space 2011

Preparazzi, a startup that prepares and delivers healthy and sophisticated meals for busy Singaporeans, was announced as the winner of theĀ Martell VSOP The Ultimate Start-up Space 2011 competition on 17th August. The founder, Jeremy Nguee, is a chef, accountant, and commercial photographer.

Jeremy will be given a S$20,000 (US$16,600) cash prize, business management training from INSEAD business school, and a 1,400 square feet space in Boon Tat Street, which will be rent-free for one year. He plans to start his business by late 2011, so in the meantime, you can check out theĀ Facebook page.

From a total of over 550 entries, ten finalists were picked by a panel of judges which included Low Cheong Kee, managing director of Home-Fix DIY (see our interview with him) and Jimmy Fong, CEO of Apple store EpiCentre. The top ten ideas were then put up on the TUSS website which also acts as a crowdfunding platform.

The winner for last year’s inaugural edition of the competition was The Chupitos Bar, selected from over 200 entries. They aim to be Singapore’s destination bar for alcohol shots, offering any type available.
