The Flying Machine, a 3D live-action and animation family movie starring Heather Graham (Bowfinger, The Spy Who Shagged Me) and produced by Oscar winner Hugh Welchman, was created with the help of Singapore-based company Progeniq Technology.

Progeniq is a high performance computing solutions company that services various industries, especially visual effects studios and rendering software providers.

The company was approached by India-based Accel Animation to provide its Progeniq RenderBoost accelerator technology to render computing power to the visual effects production.

Significant cost savings and operational efficiency were achieved, Progeniq said in a press release, with render time per frame reduced from over an hour to seven minutes.

“We’re delighted that our clients are realizing significant operational efficiency and cost-savings. Our technology has proven its value in full-resolution rendering of movie production scenes,” said Darran Nathan, CEO of Progeniq.

The company has received investments from BAF Spectrum, SPRING SEEDS Capital , and Estonia-based Ambient Sound Investments.
