Investment and Acquisition Interests of Benchmark, Google and DFJ Revealed

December 6, 2009 by Gwendolyn Regina T

Who does not want a private one-to-one session with companies such as Benchmark Capital, Google and Draper Fisher and Jurvetson (DFJ) to pitch their companies to? The folks at MDA and Expara are arranging for post-iMatch International Launchpad private half hour meetings on 10th Dec with these investors for companies which fit the criteria.

Here is a list of what these companies are looking out for investments or as acquisition targets.

What Benchmark, Google and DFJ are looking for

Benchmark Capital logoBenchmark Capital: Teams with less than 15 FTEs, post product, early customer betas, significant core tech in enterprise infrastructure or consumer internet. Agnostic on prior funding or geographic location.

Google logoGoogle M&A: Early stage technology startups. Core web and mobile technologies and services. Consumer side web offerings. Enterprise cloud offerings and online advertising would be a good fit as well. Good to have some cool gaming companies come in as well.

DFJ logoDFJ India: Early to mid stage. Investment requirements can be anywhere from from 1M to 10M USD. Tech bias (media/mobile and cleantech). Not interested in enterprise software or services.

This is an extremely unique opportunity especially if you did not get your chance to pitch or showcase at iMatch Launchpad. For companies which fit the criteria and think you’re ready to meet these guys, I strongly urge you to try to get a slot.
