Hi,

I'm from another similar organisation, Fellowship of Inventors, we help Singaporean inventors go commercial with their ideas. It's great to see Singaporeans bunch up to put us on the World Map.

We're having a Invent Singapore Event (www.inventsingapore.com) with SPRING Singapore and A Star. Wonder if I can find some interest here at SG Entrepreneurs.

Cheers and SG Entreprenuers rockz...

Hello all!

Rather sadly I've only just 'stumbled' upon this forum, and I must say I am pleasantly surprised that we have such an active group of entrepreneurs here.

I dare not call myself one yet as I have only started on this entrepreneurial journey. My partner and I are still working hard for our capital we are currently working from home.

GRAGO is the name and we do branding, advertising and graphic design. This is probably what many others are doing or aspiring to do, but its about time Singapore undergoes a major face-lift in this sector. I think far too many SMEs are not growing due to a lack of an identity.

Cheers to the creators of this forum, it'll be a source of valuable advice during this learning stages for GRAGO.

Warmest Regards,
Johnathan A Francis

Hi everyone,

this is Gladys from Her World magazine.

I'm currently looking for a female Singaporean entrepreneur (preferably in her 30s and at least 28) who had made some serious business mistakes in the past but has since moved on, learnt from her mistakes and is now successful.

If you think you fit the bill, please contact me at gladysc@sph.com.sg as soon as possible with a short description of your experiences.

Thank you!

Just found this blog and was amazed on the resources found here. Having links to the many funding / support sites and attending entrepreneurship events will definitely be beneficial for all newbies in starting their business.

If only i had these similar resources in 2000 when i started my internet marketing company, many things would be easier. By attending the business events, i managed to get hooked with some "angel investors" who just paid us US$26,000 after presenting our simple 4 page business plan.

So for all new entrepreneurs out there, just be persistent as you never know when your golden opportunity might appear !

Cheers,
Fione Tan

Divya,

Nope, we did the install of wordpress by ourselves. The installation of wordpress has nothing to do with creative commons. It's related to the content of the site. We do not support Creative Commons because the content that I have written for the blog may be translated to a book that I am going to get it published.

However, recently, I am looking at certain version of the CCL which may protect my own content and at the same time support creative commons.

Encik Wan,

Thanks for your comments. We are actually still in the midst of the revamp of the site and that present tagline you see now is just a temporary one, till we settle on a more appropriate one.

Meanwhile, if you have any suggestions, please feel free to email us at editor at sgentrepreneurs.com.

I would like to comment on subtitle of this site("Can you make a million dollars from one dollar?"). It seems making lots of money in shortest time possible with little money is still the top priority of a lot of Asian entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs. I have no problem with the aspiration of being rich as the main objective of being in business. I think some Asians have evolved. How about entrepreneurship as a lifestyle, a way to attempt to make a difference? In fact I even have problem with the word "entrepreneurship". The word gives me the impression if you do not have a MBA degree or have lots of money or have connections to raise some serious cash, then staring a business is not for you.
