
Amobee, a US-based digital advertising company owned by SingTel, has launched today PULSE Create, an ad maker platform that lets advertisers and publishers create 3D and rich media mobile ad campaigns. The tool will be made available to all advertisers and agencies.
PULSE Create is integrated with Amobee‘s ad serving and yield optimization platform, called PULSE for Publishers. This gives publishers the ability to track the performance of rich media ads served on their sites or apps. Ads generated by the rich media ads creator will be MRAID-compliant. Read more

This yearly conference saw Music, Film and Interactive people descend upon Austin, Texas in the US for two weeks of panels, meetups, day parties (with beer), night parties (with beer x 10) and drunken networking revelry.

SXSW 2011 is over. About 20K people from all over the world descended upon Austin, Texas (USA) for two weeks to experience the Music, Film and Interactive South by Southwest festivals.
This year was the first year that our tiny city state of Singapore had an official presence at SXSW Interactive (technology). Made possible by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) (the CIO of Singapore government), SXSWi saw several of our startups exhibit and pitch there.

For the first time ever in its 18-year history, the South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive section of the larger SXSW Conferences and Festivals (including Music and Film) will see official Singapore representation. Having been in the mobile app creation business for the last year or so with 2359 Media, founders Wenhan Zhou and Hongting Wong realised that the long development timelines and costs associated with app development had been putting off parties interested in mobile, even if they saw the value of having a mobile app. Read more

Having changed their business model since its inception, 2359Media has transitioned from being an ad network to being focused on mobilising content across smartphone platforms. With their first mobile application, SG Malls (opens up iTunes) as an example, they look to continue building high value location-based applications that are useful to consumers, and effective as rich media advertising platforms for advertisers.
