The winners of Jakarta’s International Space Apps Challenge has been announced. A collaboration between NASA, the American Embassy in Jakarta, and Indonesian tech blog DailySocial, the competition gathers developers together to create apps using publicly available data sets from the space agency.

The Challenge is a global event that is happening in 24 cities around the world, and even on the International Space Station. Read more

Going into space may be a dream out of reach for us mere mortals, but here’s the next best thing: You can develop an app using data sets from NASA.
 

The International Space Apps Challenge will be held in Jakerta, Indonesia from 21st to 22nd April to attract developers to collaborate together and create app using thousands of publicly available data sets.
 

The aim of the hackathon is to “accelerate the development of solutions focused on building innovative solutions to solve critical issues on our planet.” Read more
