iTwin has been awarded the National Infocomm Award in the ‘Most Innovative Product/Service’ category.
The award, which is Singapore’s highest accolade for infocomm innovation, was presented to iTwin by Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, minister for Information, Communications and the Arts at a gala dinner on 23rd October. Read more
The iTwin, a Singapore-developed, double-sided thumbdrive that lets users securely and remotely access files from another location, now has a new feature. Called SecureBox, it enables the device to act as a ‘key’ to your Dropbox files.
When you attach the USB device to your laptop, you can associate it with your Dropbox account. Any file that you drag into the SecureBox folder will be automatically encrypted and sent to Dropbox. Read more

iTwin, a Singapore-invented USB device that allows users to securely access their files from anywhere around the world, just won Popular Science’s 2011′s Best of What’s New in the computing category, reported TechCrunch.
“We are honored & thrilled to have been recognized by Popular Science,” said Lux Anantharaman, iTwin’s CEO and co-founder in a statement yesterday.
“Winning this award validates a successful launch year for us. Moving into 2012, we are working on improving iTwin in multiple directions – new collaboration-centric features, strengthening iTwin’s inbuilt privacy & security and making it even easier to use.” Read more

unConference Singapore 2009 saw a turn out of about 400 people, with a 85-15 male-female ratio (what else, did you think it was the other way round? I had actually thought female representation would be slightly smaller). It had certainly grown in size from last year, more than doubling its number of attendees. Read more
